  1. Does it hurt?
  2. I just got a tattoo.  How do I care for it?
  3. Will it hurt less if I am drunk or high?

  5. How much does it cost?

Does is Hurt?

Well, yes...  A tattoo is ink injected just under the upper layers of the skin by a reciprocating needle.  Is it more than a tickle?  Definitely.  Is it as bad as childbirth?  Not in this shop-  our artists know what they are doing or they do not work here.  The amount of pain you feel getting a tattoo is directly related to the experience of the artist and the quality of the equipment.  At Phantasy Tattoos, our artists are very experienced, and the equipment is tuned almost every day.

I just got a tattoo.  How do I care for it?

Before you leave our studio with a new tattoo, the artist will give you oral instructions and a slip of paper on how to care for your tattoo.  See the text here.  Once the tattoo site has recovered from the tattooing process, you do not need any special care for your tattoo.  A tattoo is like a scratch.  Care for it like a scratch (keep it clean and dry, with repeated gentle washing) and it will heal just fine.  Overmedicating a tattoo is one of the worst things you can do to it.

Will it hurt less if I am drunk or high?

It won't hurt at all, as our artists will not touch you.  Patrons who are obviously drunk or under the influence will be refused service.  Our artists are not desperate.

What do I need to get a tattoo?

First off, a Photo ID.  We like to confirm that the person getting the tattoo is the person signing the forms.  This also provides proof of age (you must be 18 or over to get a tattoo from our studio, again, our artists are not desperate).  You should NOT be a hemophiliac (a bleeder).  You should NOT be pregnant.  You should NOT have Sugar Diabetes.  You should NOT have or have been exposed to a blood disease including but not limited to:  Hepatitis, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV or AIDS).  You WILL have to sign a release BEFORE you get the tattoo.  See the text here.

How much will it cost?

Minimum cost is $40.  Larger pieces cost more, and your artist will quote you a price based on the pieces' size, complexity, and desired colors.  No, they will not bargain.  Our artists know what their work is worth, and how much they need to charge to stay in business.  This includes custom work.

Phantasy Tattoos does three types of jobs- Cheap, Quick, and Good.  You can have any two, but remember:

A Good, Quick job won't be Cheap,

A Good, Cheap job won't be Quick,

A Cheap Quick job won't be Good.

By the way, if the job won't be good, it won't be done in our shop.
